Avoid glare
When using the backlight, you must pay
attention to the lens flare . When the light is directly captured on camera, it
would appear strange geometric shapes and bright spots, these shapes are the
actual shape of the lens aperture . The Glare will also reduce the contrast of
the whole picture . The Glare can from the backlight light source (the sun or a
bright sky) , is also available from the background overexposed areas .
Here is about how to avoid glare . First, if
it is possible, shooting in the shaded area. Secondly, using the lens mask, it
can block the light directly shine at the lens . (I recommend you for all of
the lens coupled with lens mask, so not only can reduce glare, but also can
protect the lens from bruises .) Again, ask your model if they can see the
reflected light in lens where they are located . If they can see it, then you
might have photos with glare, then you need to change the location of the
shooting .
Woman
standing in front of the river goes on photographs (Fig. 1), I did not
encounter the problem
of sun shining directly into the lens , because I was in the shadow when
i shooting . But I still have glare problems that
may be encountered, because the background is overexposed . When the background overexposed to
the extent of this picture, the background itself is likely to become a huge
white light source ─ a white light wall . To avoid this situation, you must ensure there is enough light
reflected to the model’s face, the light contrast between the face and the background must
be controlled within four gear
ratio
. You can test it from the model, shot a photo
that very close-up to
the model ─ let the model’s
face entirely fill the pic . Make the correct exposure for the
face and put this exposure record . Then, against the background of the photo shoot a correct
exposure
. If the exposure difference between
the these
two is greater than 4 block, then there
may appear lens flare .Or it is essential to add portrait retouching.
